At the office, we have three systems which run a special software for printing on a digital pressing system. These three computers are connected together via ethernet but are not connected to the internet or any other network.
Recently, i found out that whenever someone puts a USB stick on one of those computers, the USB stick will then carry a virus, apparently that system is infected by a virus that spreads itself by copying an autorun.exe/inf in any USB storage device that connects to it. Because people bring digital images (for printing) in USB sticks and CD/DVD disks, someone infected it with the virus.
So i installed KAV7 on the infected machine and it found nothing, probably because the default virus signatures are too old (9 months old?).
My question is: How do i update the signatures via a USB stick?
Thank you.
