i'm trying to install kav admin kit on win 2003 server..it cannot connect to sql server instance..
The only way to run setup is to install msde?

Is there a version that can work with sql server 2000? Does it need a specific service pack?

You need an active SQL server to install AdminKit since it stores data inside. MSSQL 2000 is pretty old, you can already download version 2005 Express from Microsoft for free. As far as MSDE it was discontinued.

On this sever there is another software that can only use SQL 2000 that's way I have to use this sql version..

You can install an another instance of SQL_server on the same machine. In this case SQL2005Express on side of SQL2000.
