Full Version: Enable Firewall walls me from Internet access.

New guy here. Do really like what KIS does. Have tried a few others and am impressed to the point I want to stay with it.
BUT!! have a recent problem. Please read on...

Using Kaspersky Internet Security v 6.0.2.614 with daily updates.

This problem started two days ago-
In Protection> Anti Hacker checked and "Enable Firewall" DISABLED I can get internet access. With Firewall enabled I am locked out. I don't know why this is happening. Tried every conceivable way out [for a non pro and a non guru] and am stuck.

Would appreciate any advice on how to correct this serious error.
I'm sending this from another computer using kaspersky v6 which has no problems.
Both have been installed for many months and have months to go before renewal is required.

Have you tried upgrading to KIS 7.0.125? Also have you had any previous antivirus solutions (like Norton for example)?

First check your AH settings - may be it's on "Block all" - if that's the case just switch it to "High", "Training" or "Low" and see if it solves the problem. If that's not the case - it's possible that your AH rules are corrupted, so you can go to "Service" and click on "Reset" button - it will restore the default settings of KIS and it will probably solve the problem. Last, but not least, you can upgrade to KIS 7.0.0.125 as darcorn suggested and I would recommend it as well.
