Hi
I have found on a KAV fileserver this "predefined" flagged rule in the trusted zone:

Object: *
Verdict: not-a-virus

I think "predefined" -or default- because no one can access on this fileserver except me, and no rules I have set until now ;
"*" means "all"?... So all the objects are excluded from the scan process???

It is normal or... rolleyes.gif

thanks
Z.

Hello,

Which version of KAV FileServer is it ? 5 or 6 ? Perhaps it's a predefined rules, i can't remember for V5.

This rule means that all objects are exclude from the scan scope about detection of Riskware (including pornware, adware, ...) but not standard threat like Virus, Trojan, ...

DB

I think this rule has been created for v5 and has been kept after upgrade to version 6.

It depends, you've to enable detection of potentially dangerous software (riskware) in the configuration of the product (Protection menu > Malware categories). Pay attention with this option, it can detect some softwares as dangerous (like VNC, RemoteAdmin, ...) and delete them
