Howdy,

I recently deployed Kaspersky across my network. Desktop and File Server deployment was very smooth.

The Exchange-side of things was a little more frustrating. But still, I got it up and running, with reporting, etc.

I have a daily anti-spam report configured which tells me how many spams were blocked, from which domains, etc.

After running the mailserver for day or two, the reports stop having content. The page is there, but it indicates that no spams were blocked or processes. The service is running, but it seems that spam protection is somehow not working.

Any ideas?

HI,
are your anti-spam databases up-to-date?

Serge - Yes. In fact, if I go into the KAV Exchange utility, I can see that spams are being quarantined at a normal rate. They're definetly GETTING blocked, but they're somehow not getting logged, maybe?

Okay, let me clarify... For the first few days that the system is up, the reporting works properly. Then it suddenly stops.

I found this error in one of the logs... repeated often.
30:10:2007 16:21:13 Statistics 0xcc912023 The statistics object has not been saved to the statistics subsystem. Error code -2147467259. Query text: INSERT INTO scanstat ( timestamper, recveraddr, senderaddr, verdict, virusname, sclrate, isquarantined, [size] ) VALUES ( NOW(), 'Unknown', 'Dan@fine.com', 1, 'Unknown', 0, 0, 1947)??

That sounds, well, like it could be the culprit. So what's going on here?

Bump.

Niether the official support channels nor this forum have been able to help me yet. I'm getting a little frustrated with this problem...

Hello,

What version of the exchange product have you installed on this server ?

Did you try to restart KAV Exchange service manually ?

Do you mean support of a specific operating system language or SPAM in chinese ? This product can be installed on an OS which is set to another language than english, and of course it can detect SPAM in many languages with specific caracters (cyrillic, latin, chinese, ...)

KAV For MS Exchange does not contain latest technologies of SPAM detection, the next product (KAV For MS Exchange 2007) will have a better filtration.

You can also install a Linux-based product like Kaspersky Anti-Spam 3.0 which have a better detection rate.
