I have been having issues with Steam after purchasing a game from the service. My purchase of Warhammer Dawn of War : Winter Assault has been giving me headaches.

Everytime I start the game it fails and KAVWS displays a pop-up that the main .exe file is a virus and quaranteenes the file. I have restrored it from the quaranteen and added the .exe file to the protection truststed zone list, but it keeps grabbing it.

I finally had to exit KAV and while I was looking at the Steam tech support pages, Kaspersky was listed as an AV program that interferes with Steam as quoted below.

"Kaspersky Antivirus software has also been determined to cause Steam connectivity problems - this product must be removed to ensure the normal operation of Steam."

I have gone and added steam.exe to the trusted zone list as well. Is there anything else I can do?

Thanks
Whizard
Doesnt adding to both Exlusions and Trusted Zone resolve your issue ?
