Brief overview of what i'm trying to do here and any help or suggestions would be helpful.

Network Admin for a grocery store chain in upstate NY, we have 12 stores that have 2 servers in each store. Each of those servers is part of a workgroup and not a domain. Have approximately 12 servers at the central office, which of course deploying across the network within the domain wasn't an issue, although i did run into a problem of setting up server anti-virus on the domain controller (which is also the server that the administration kit is on, it won't allow me to control the settings for the server with the administration kit, nor will it see that the domain controller has anti-virus installed on it)

There is also a server that we have that is not part of the domain within the central office, of which, i have managed to install kaspersky network agent and server anti-virus but it connects to the administration kit, pleasant suprise to me.

However, this is the issue i'm running into. The servers that we are running at each of the stores is within it's own workgroup...store2, store3, you get the point. The domain controller does not have them included within the workgroup, but i can connect to them, and if i am physically at one of the servers i can access the central servers (with admin user and passwords of course)

I installed anti-virus for servers and the network agent on one of the servers for the stores, routed to the correct server, provided the server certificate that is set up, but I cannot connect to the administration server, nor can i connect to the computer via the kaspersky administration kit.

I am hesitant about adding the server to the domain (causes a few logistical problems that i won't get into...just short of a nightmare of changing alot of things) but is it possible to, or how is it possible to connect in workstations and servers to the administration kit that aren't on the domain, but connected to the central servers?

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please respond.

Thank You,

There is the klnagchk utility within nagent folder on each store server you've installed nagent.
Run klnagchk and provide its output here.
