Hi!

I'm tryng to install correctly KAV 5.5 on a Slackware 11.0 with a customized kernel configured by me (the source code of kernel is not modified), but the script build.pl isn't able to build the kavmon kernel module correctly over the last kernel source code. It possible only for the 2.6.17.x series, but it is not good for my hardware configuration. On the 2.6.21.x series, for exemple, the building process give me various error.
I'm using the KAV 5.5.24 release downloaded from the Kaspersky site, but don't work correctly in building and, when I check the version, it give to me "5.5.18 release"

How can I do to install this wonderful product with all features?

Thanks.
Helmut

Thanks, I think that the problem derive from a question of kernel header, I'm tested up to 2.6.17.x release and the building work.
Can I unpgrade in future from the 5.5 release to 5.7 without changing license?

Thanks too much for reply.

Yes you can upgrade to the newest versions during runtime of license.

I have downloaded le 5.7alpha release, but the problem is the same: the kavmon module compiling process don't work with the most recent kernel version.

Any solution or workaround?
It is possible to modify the building scripts in any way?
