Is there some documentation to how to set it up?
I looked at all the documentation, but I can't find any information.

• Corporate enterprises can now create a local updates' server.
This feature is designed for organizations where a single LAN
unites computers protected by Kaspersky Lab applications. Any
computer on the LAN can be turned into an updates’ server that
retrieves updates from the Internet and shares them with the
other networked computers.

Hi Jurrien,
you can find the info on page 30 - 31
Specify the corresponding values for the settings in the
application’s configuration file:
[updater.options]
UpdateServerUrl=/home/bases
UseUpdateServerUrl=yes
UseUpdateServerUrlOnly=no
Helmut
Oke this is for the client.
I want to know how you get the files on that location and which files?
Greetz
Maybe I need to be more clearly.?
I mean: I want to know how u must setup the local update server. I mean the server side.
Just do a complete download of a update server with ftp and put that in a cronjob? Off course in a place where a client can download the files.
Somebody???
Oke find that one before you posted the link. Thanks anyway :-)
For windows I can find the settings but for Unix it is a different case. Can't find how. Is it possible? Or not?
The product I have is Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.5 for Unix Mail Servers.
Hi,
please explain exactly what you want.
Oke...
I have several servers in a network. They don't have a direct connection to the internet. So I need a update server in between to retreve the virus updates. Then the other servers can retreve the updates from the update server.
I want to know how I must setup the kaspersky part on the update server?
Has kaspersky an tool tool for unix to do this?
No,
you must create a cronjob to download the updates from Kaspersky´s FTP-Server. You can find the structur for the directory in the FAQ I posted before.
Do you use any windows clients with internet access?
