Hi Guys,

Kaspersky version 6.x is super conflict with other 3rd party AV, even if you already uninstall it and delete it in the regedit. it prompts you about the other 3rd party AV that you must uninstall and installation of KAV is not will not continue. no problems with KAV v 5.x, i also try uninstalling using deinstallation task, it will be too much of work if i run removal utility of every 3rd party AV.. is there any way regarding this issue?

thanks,

Hi Bill,

you must look for a msi-file of your old AV program in your windows\installer directory.

You can cut this files temporarily in an another directory and paste these files back to the original place after the installation.

You can use for example "msicuu2" from Microsoft.

so do you think running "msicuu2" will complete the installation of KAV version 6.x (for workstation), will "msicuu2" can delete the record or registry of other AV, and will not prompt during the installation of KAV that causes to abort the installation.. well anyway thanks for the tips, ill do that solution maybe next week coz im out of the country right now..

thanks and more power..
