hi guys,

im installing Kaspersky Anti-Virus on my file server RHEL4, installing the Anti-Virus dont have problems, updating and scanning also have no problem, the problem is when im accessing kavmonitor --(to check/view my logs) it says that "cannot find the kernel source
please install a kernel source package"
and also how do i install a kernel source package for RHEL4..??, i also install the kernel source rpm which is on the cd, and of course it shows this message that kernel source cannot be installed because it already installed..

any idea on this guys.. thanks and more power!!!

I don't have RHEL, but RedHat distribution has a kernel-source-*.i386.rpm package.
You should look for this package on your install CD or download it from the internet.

Just install it with:
rpm -ivh kernel-source-*.i386.rpm

If you have kernel sources already installed, type:
CODE
uname -r

and it should return something like this:
2.6.9-5
Then, check if directory: /usr/src/linux-2.6.9-5 exists.
There should be also a symbolic link /usr/src/linux to directory specified above.
