This is my first post on these forums so hello all!
I am installing a new network for a client with one Windows Small Business Server R2 2003 and 3 Windows XP Professional Workstations. All the hardware is new and of current specification. The SBS will be used for email functionality via Exchange.
I haven't used Kaspersky in anything other than a single user environment before so I've dug around the website to find the best product pack but I'm not sure I've found it.
The most suitable pack I have found is the 'Kaspersky Business Optimal for Windows: 1 Fileserver, 5 Workstations' at £425 for 1 year.
My questions are, bearing in mind that I would like email anti-spam and anti-virus protection for the Exchange users and file system anti-virus protection for the clients:
1. Does this seem like the most suitable choice?
2. Will files and folders on the SBS be virus-scanned?
3. Is the email anti-virus and anti-spam operated on each client or the server itself?
4. Does the product include firewalling on the server and/or clients?
5. Do I get central management of the clients with this pack?
I guess what I would really like are the features of Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0 on the clients and file system anti-virus plus email anti-virus and anti-spam on the server.
Thanks in advance,
roadie.
