Hi everybody,

I had deployed about 20 workstations to an internal Lan, but i did not enable the real time protection when i installed the workstation. So now the workstation is not able to enable to enable the feature.

How do i remote enable the (Network) real time protection for these workstations? Must i reinstall all the workstations?

Thanks
bill
hi philacw,

good day.

ive also encountered the same problem.. good thing is that i only deployed it on 2 workstations, anyway what i did is i reinstall all over again.. coz its taking too long too figure out the answer.. installing on 30 workstation only took 10-15 minutes.. problem solved.. biggrin.gif but of course it would be better if i know how to enable the real time protection option remotely.. smile.gif im still waiting for bright ideas..

regards,
bill

Hi Guys!

I think you've rebootet the clients after insallation and have a valid license key !?

Also it's important to know if there was a preinstalled AntiVirus product from another vendor and from which.

normally there are no problems with running realtime protection...

hi defekt,

yes i've rebooted the clients after installation..(recommended).
In order to complete the application setup, registration of some services with the system is required, therefore you will be asked to restart your computer. Restarting your system is ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED in order to ensure proper completion of the installation.

yes, i have a valid key file.

none, there are no other 3rd party anti-virus installed

and normally your right, coz there are no problems with running realtime protection...

what i did before is i intentionally unchecked the real time protection and deployed it on two workstation.. and that cause the problem.. anyway i just reinstall together with other workstation, this time i've checked the real time option in the installation settings..

I mean the real time protection is running but not the Network (real time ) protection which is different from the normal real time protection. Seem like i have to uninstall and deploy again.......

Hi,

Real-time protection against network attacks is not essential since all the computers are protected with a firewall, in this case you can safely disable this module. It can be usefull on laptop when the user connects to Internet in unsecure environnements.

However if you really want this module on your computer, I advise you to check the driver of your network card.

If you use Ghost setup windows ,not enable the real time protection.
you must run kldupfix.exe.
downlaod at ftp.kaspersky.com/utils/kldupfix
