Full Version: Digital signature of installation files is missing

I initially tried installing KIS 2013 from a CD that I had purchased last year and I received a message saying that the Digital signature of installation files is missing. I clicked the Learn more link and eventually ended up downloading the 2014 version from the website just to have the exact same message.

When I view the Digital Signature tab of the kis14.0.0.4651en_5450 it tells me that "One of the countersignatures is not valid. The file may have been altered.". The only countersignature is the COMODO Time Stamping Signer. When I view the certificate inside the details of the COMODO signature it says "The timestamp signature and/or certificate could not be verified or is malformed.".

I have tried running as administrator, using the troubleshoot compatibility tool, deleting toolbars, going into the task manager and shutting down all non-essential processes, nothing seems to make this install.

What do I do?

Here is the GetSystemInfo report:

I looked at that report and deleted all of the flagged files. I restarted my computer and tried running the install file - same problem.

I re-ran the report, here is the new one:

Welcome. Forget about the CD, please remove it from the disc drive.

Optimizer Pro is installed, please uninstall that.

Clear your temp files: http://support.kaspersky.com/general/various/1161

Are you able to connect to windows update? If so, please check for updates and look for .net framework 4.5 you can also download and install it. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/de...s.aspx?id=30653

After the above, please download KIS 2014 from here: http://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/internet-security

Activate with the code from the 2013 disc. Reboot, update and reboot. Any better?

Uninstalled Optimizer Pro, deleted Temp files, installed .net framework 4.5 and then re-downloaded the KIS 2014 file.

I have never gotten to the point of being able to use an activation code, I get the exact same error very shortly after loading up the installation file.

Also it may be worth noting that as soon as the download completes it identifies it as having signature problems, I am attaching a screen shot.

Please try to reset IE 10. https://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737

Are you able to connect to windows update?

Also, if you don't use Bonjour, please uninstall that.

I reset IE 10, windows update connects fine and there are no important updates to download, and I uninstalled Bonjour. I then re-downloaded the file and there is no change.

What do I do now?
