Hello,

I've installed KAK (Kaspersky Administration Kit) on my existing MS SQL 2000 instalation.
But I have a question: is Kaspersky using CAL for MSSQL or not?
I have 6 licenses fo SQL connections. All licenses are used by remote users.
Should I buy 7th CAL for SQL or KAV is using any local (?) license for server?

KAK is installed on:
- NT 4 Server (SP6a)
- MSSQL 2000 SP3 (6CAL)

I was trying to install MSDE from KAV CD, but my existing SQL server crashed due to versions incompatibility (and it was restored from a backup).

PS: This question is urgent for me. If you know about this, let me know today (and I'll have a time to uninstall/disable KAV service).

Thanks.

AK use mssql start account.
try to use your MSSQL.

btw, I think you may install on other computer MSDE, it is free and work fine with AK too.

MSDE is no longer supported. You should install MSSQL Express its free smile.gif
