I am needing ideas on how to do a mass uninstall of Symantec 10.0 and 10.1 on over 450 workstations. We would like to migrate to Kaspersky, but uninstallation of Symantec is a problem. I have tried using the script as suggested on the Kaspersky FAQ site, but it does not seem to work for 10.1.

Any (specific) ideas?

Thanks.

smile.gif Hi!
I have a Norton Removal tool program so now you can create the uninstallation package from adminkit and you can perform it to uninstall all Norton AV remotely..

Hi,

You can use Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 which contains ini files to detect / uninstall competitors products such as Symantec AV.

kleaner utility can uninstall silently this product without any reboot.

i have problems installing Admin Kit. it says SQL server is not detected and i dun know what is the server name and so on. deleting registry entries manually is not enough and norton removal tool doesn't work. could someone really know what kaspersky is scanning why she is still detecting Symantec? I've almost destroyed my computer by uninstalling symantec but kaspersky still finds it.

create a getsysteminfo - http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=193238548

and then just upload it to http://gsi.kaspersky.fr/

symantec / norton would be the worst to uninstall lol. always leaves traces of itself behind. dash1.gif
