I'm currently evaluating KAV for possible deployment on our corporate network.

I've purposely infected the computer with lots of fun stuff and when KAV starts it generates this message:

CODE
Event type:  Virus detected
Severity:  Critical
Application:  Kaspersky Anti-Virus 5.0 for Windows Workstations
Version:  5.0.712
Task name:  Scan at Kaspersky Anti-Virus startup
Computer:  MALWARE2
Group:  test
Time:  Wednesday, November 01, 2006 9:51:47 AM
Description:  Memory object WINLOGON.EXE [pid:196]\winnsn32.dll is infected with the virus  Trojan.Win32.Agent.vg

Then the computer spontaneously reboots. I've changed the policy from "recommended action" to "prompt", but the issue still occurs.

Any help on this one?

Hi,

Try to perform a full scan in safe mode.

Hello!

Install KAV for windows workstation 6 (beta) and create Rescue disk. Run this rescue disk on infected computer.

The reason is that infected procceses should be terminated.
And when you terminate winlogon process the Windows is rebooting.
Try to scan without "System Memory".

P.S. In KAV 6 this problem was resolved.
