I have performed backup KAV Administration server database successfully.
SQL database for KAV Admin. server is located on another, SQL server

Questions are trivial, but I have to check to be sure smile.gif
Will klbackup "know" on where to restore sql databas?
When I perform restore of KAV Administration server database, what will happen with sql database on sql server?
Will it be replaced with previosly backuped database?

1. klbackup will restore data in the database having the same name as in the backup's source (default is 'KAV').

2. Data will be replaced in the Kaspersky Administration Server database (default is 'KAV').

Thank you kulaga.

We have made a mistake.

We moved SQL database from another SQL server to a machine that hosts KAV admin server and (now) SQL Server.

SQL server is now installed with option:
Server collation: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

Problem is that database was exported from SQL Server which has option:
Server collation: SQL_Slovenian_CP1250_CI_AS

What should we do, to rebuild the master database and cross fingers or to reinstall all from the beginning and restore backup from last week?
jaksa
Rebuilding the master database fixed the problem.
Beware not to make such mistake as we did wink.gif
