Hi there, I am a total newbie to forums and not sure if I am doing this right, so apologies in advance if not doing this right.

I just upgraded from KIS 2011 to KIS 2012 and my Virtual Keyboard refuses to enter characters into any field..????? I REALLY love this feature and sorely missing it!

My OS is Windows 7-home premium, using IE9, both are up to date. From what I have read, I am fairly certain I did a Clean install.

I checked out your and others suggestions given to gloria.g who was having the same issue, but I have tried All the suggestions given to gloria.g with NO luck!!

I have tried the following:

Uninstalled KIS 2012 > reboot > re-installed > reboot > updated > reboot > updated again > reboot > full scan > reboot.

Not sure if this is relevant - before doing the first update, main menu said; database has not been updated for a long time. I then got the same message AFTER doing the first update, which is why i ran a second update, then all was fine.

Also tried using Virtual keyboard in Safe Run - no luck their either. It also does not make any difference when i try opening VK by right-clicking K icon (bottom right) and going to tools > Virtual Keyboard.

All four Kaspersky add-ons are enabled in my Toolbars and Extensions menu.

Windows defender/firewall are showing they are turned off.

Would REALLY appreciate help on this matter.

Many Thanks

Welcome. Please try with the smart web filtering & popup blocker disabled in IE. Restart your browser after changes.

Also, Have you tried resetting IE 9: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows...rnet-Explorer-9

Have you tried other browsers?

Hi, Thanks. when you say smart web filtering & popup blocker, I have gone to settings > safety > Turn off smartscreen filter and disabled it then restarted browser...is that correct?

Also went to settings> internet options> privacy > Turn on Pop-up Blocker was ticked, I have now un-checked it....ok?

I have not tried resetting IE9 or other browsers.

No change in Virtual Keyboard function!

I will go ahead and try IE resetting and get back to you. smile.gif

2. Correct.

dry.gif Hi, I just finished resetting IE9, which has now made Bing my search engine instead of igoogle. I have not reset igoogle as my default yet as I wanted to try VK in Bing.... and still no joy with Virtual Keyboard.

I also tried your previous suggestions again of disabling smartfilter and pop-up blocker..enabled or disabled, made no difference.

Awaiting any further suggestions.

Many thanks

Regarding Bing: http://www.aeinrst.info/add-google-as-defa...net-explorer-9/

Besides logging a support ticket about this via My Kaspersky Account , I can't think of anything to try, sorry. Perhaps someone else can suggest things to try.

Maybe un & re install with a fresh installer from here: http://www.kaspersky.com/kis_latest_versions downloaded without any download accelerators or enhancers.

Have you tried Firefox or something else?

Pending possible resolution here on the forum, please also contact support from the link above.

Thank You for trying, I will try Firefox as I have been thinking of changing anyway.

Regarding un & re install, I actually bought the software in store, so I have the disc. Will keep trying.

Thanks again and Really hope I can get this resolved.

Even you though you have the disc, try the download I linked to, then use the code from the disc to activate. After you install and activate, do a database update > reboot. It is probably one of the first things support would have you try anyways.
