Hi, I have a quick question which I do not seem to be able to find the answer to on the site or here, so here goes:

Does Kaspersky scan both incoming and outgoing MAPI and IMAP mail?

Hopefully someone can answer this, as it's the deciding factor in our purchase.

1. As MS Outlook plugin - yes in all versions of KAV.
2. As traffic check - IMAP (KAV/KIS 6.0) - yes. MAPI - no.

Hi,
what is the best/recommended setting for Mail Anti-Virus under workstation policy & outlook 2003 for IMAP users?.
attached snapshots on current setting on policy applied to clients.
reason of taking out 'scan when read' option is because IMAP user always having 'Updating Cached Headers' pop up every time click on folders that having lot of messages.
