Hello Maratka,

This is the first I've used for a while, seems to be coming along too.

There was a crash for me using the parser, using the search malware option. I remeber previous versions had this problem with the earlier parser.
I shut down DW20.exe and it caused an error, not seen here before when I've forced shut crash exe's to collect the dumps. Mention of JIT made me curious of what version you use, I have NET 3.5 and below and presently downloading the SDK's. Which would you prefer? Ver 2 or Ver 3.5 debugging? Not that I know what I'm looking for, or is this only for the issue with DW20.exe that the debugging will help trace and not your programs needs?

Add that to this install (XP) needing some serious fixing, curious if it is really worth testing more into this before starting fresh? Still there is a minor 214 KB crash there if you want it.

Yes, it is known bug... Just open GSI-repot before start "search malware"

Under the boot-sector scan, ran "measure system performance". If I have the main window up and then click the next small window that has 1.99 the screen goes black for a second or two. If i push ok, then the parts of the back ground for the main window will go black.

The next window that comes up is the "Wizard for balance level of protection and performance tuning", and i get to the part with the file-antivirus, etc. And the wizard won't go to the next step.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but when clicking on different settings (on the left) like "signature obsolete after..., and Vulnerabilities Scan" the top right text "for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009" blinks (A lot), but this is only for certain settings, others if I click on them don't make the text blink.

Using the "Measure system performance", it comes up that my system is high on productivity, but when i push "cancel" it brings up the same exact window saying that now my system is "average on productivity", and that my File/web/mail anti-virus should be set to the default settings.

When something blinks - it's means that this function is not avialable on this product version.

Hey Maratka, an idea:

Why don't you have a link in your signature to the always latest version of KIS Tweak Util? This way all those who know ...... only have to look in your signature and know whether they have the latest instead of going back several posts etc and checking to make sure.

Two more things:
It is possible that Localization doesn't work? I have installed KIS english and inserted manual german language files (which I use by default). Nevertheless he didn't see that I have two languages pack. I can't do there anything...

Second: if you measure system performance you get messageboxes. I think that are do debug the code, or?

Btw: can this tool create a GSI-Log?

Localization works only if you have non-English version installed. But it's un idea to do the program detect the other localization, although it is a English version installed.
When you measure system performance then the link Details is apear on this box. You may clisk and see what is your results.
This program is not created GSI-Logs, only analyse them. You may create GSI log with this tool.

To Maratka: detection of incompatible software works good, he detected more files of avira free then older version.

Whee he detect it currently, which version you have installed?

Ok, I had hoped that GSI is part of this Tewak Tool.

Suggestion: Include GSI, so you don't need save first the log on disk and load it after this again. Furthermore it will be nice if you see after loading a file, that this is really loaded, because you didn't see it (maybe disable "search for..." before or so).

* Kaspersky Tester Toolkit

How do they differ?

I presume the following are the latest versions? -

* KIS Tweak Util 1.999.63.329
* Kaspersky Tester Toolkit 2.0.8

Are these both compatible with KIS 2009 CF2?

Only KTU is compatible with all version of Kaspersky - series 6,7,8(2009) and 9 (2010)

Sorry I should've said. I did try disabling self-defence and it was recognised by the Tweak Util I'd disabled it. I -

* Paused KIS
* Unticked "Enable Anti-Malware"

But the Tweak Util still reckoned I had Anti-Virus enabled. How come? Thanks

Thanks but I already tried disabling that and the Tweak Util recognised I'd disabled it. I think it's because the Tweak Util insisted I had Kaspersky Antivirus enabled when I'd disabled it.

I presume I need to untick Anti-Malware for that one?

In the Files version is written: Show Kaspersky Anti-Virus File versions.
In the GetSystemInfo Parser Dialog is written: Start Dialog of GetSystemInfo Tool. Find in log from GSI shortly installed modules and programs, which are incompatible with Kaspersky Anti-Virus, viruses and doubt for viruses.

The Tweak Util keeps on reporting that my traces are enabled, but they are not. I enabled them this morning around 2 am for about 1 minute then disabled it.
every 3-8 seconds it keeps on reporting that "traces have been turned on".
In the folder, there is 3 pics. depicting what is showing up.

This only happened when i first started the new build. When right clicking the icon in the system tray, and pushing "exit" then opening the program again, the error stopped showing.

Also, when clicking Service>file versions, the window starts at the bottom of the list rather than the top.
