Hello,

Is there a way to disable the Kaspersky pop up blocker?
I'm using another pop up blocker software, so I don't
need the Kaspersky one.

Thanks in advance,
HomeUser.

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response.

I'm using Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0.0.299.
When I look in the menu under Settings, there isn't
an option called anti-spy.

Another quiestion I have is:
Where is the trusted list of the sites?

Thanks again,
HomeUser.

Homeuser,

Download the KAV documentation (pdf), and check out Chapter 4, Program Interface.

KL Documentation

Note that the KAV 6 documentation hierarchy is screwed up. Chapter 4 is listed as a subsection of Chapter 1. Does anyone know to whom to send this info?

Hi again,

Attached is the AntiVirus settings screen.
As you can see there is no disable popup messages button.

Hi. This is kav, so you don't have a popup blocker. Only kis has one.

Ron, I'm wondering whether there exist different editions of the KAV manual. In my version (dated March, 2006) chapter 4 is to find on page 36, as indicated in the list of contents. Is your manual different?
homeuser
KAV contains a popup blocker.

For example, If I try to open the pictures you uploaded
to this forum I have to allow it via the popup blocker.

Look at the picture I've uploaded.

Galileo,

This is what I am talking about, in the pdf hierarchy. It may print properly, I haven't done that, but it does show that Chapter 4 starts on page 36.

I just downloaded the pdf this morning, (kav6.0en.pdf - 1.36 MB). On my HD, it is 1401 KB.

Ed Note: Here is the KAV 5 pdf, 18 main headings (14 chapters, and 4 appendices).

I thought it was to, but it's not!

If I want to enable pop-ups I have to enable it first via the KAV,
and then in the IE tools pop-blocker menu.

Attaced is the ikon of KAV after enabling both.

Hi,

Just removed KAV and installed KIS.
The only diffrense is now I can see the trusted sites list.

Even after unchecking the popup blocker,
restrating my pc, it's still won't go away.

I'm about to give up.

The icon does not represent the popupblocker!! It's for the scriptchecker and if the icon is grey then it is disabled.

Archimides,

1a) IE not running -> Right-click IE Icon, select Properties
1b) IE running -> From Tools Menu, select Internet Options
2) From Internet Options, select Security tab
3) Click on Custom Level... button
4) Under Miscellaneous heading, Use Popup Blocker -> enable/disable
