Generally, MP4 looked to have alot of promise. However, I was looking today, and realized that the scan settings for MP4 are not locked down. I looked at the admin kit and there were no lockdown settings for the scans, unlike in 6.0.3.837. I contacted KAV support, and I learned that this is an intended 'feature' and that it was done to be more open to the end user, and that there is no intention on fixing this. Can this be true, would KL be that irresponsible to allow the users to pause or stop scans, set their own scan settings, on a corporate network?

As well I am having this issue: http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=142757 (admin kit randomly disconnects when in use)

The user cannot stop the scan that is scheduled to occur from the Admin Kit Scan Task you setup for your clients. It won't matter if the user goes to their setting and disables all scans, your Scan Task will still process based on your settings and schedule.

Well I was able to stop the scan today, this was a converted scan that I set up in 6.0.3 and I went to check a client with that version and they were unable to stop the task, but i was able to stop the task on MP4.

To confirm this I created a group scan task from the admin client and I was able to stop it by right clicking on the active task that was running on the client and going to stop. I will be talking with KAV support about this, again.

I'm not seeing this. When I goto stop a task it prompts me for a password...only after I put in the password will the task stop or pause.

Have you setup a password?

Goto your Policy > Settings > Interaction with user

Check "Enable Password Protection" > Settings... > Give it a password > Select "All Operations"

Ok > Ok

If that doesn't work, delete your policy and start over.
