Hi everyone,

I've started a thread in the french zone, and have an open file with the french support, but have no solution so far... Here's the point : On a vista ultimate 32 computer with 3Gb, i have installed Net_agent8 and MP4. But i had a svchost that was running the hole system almost to 100%. I decided to uninstall The MP4, but the system freezed during the process... Now i have things that are still in the system and some not. The consequences are that i can not install nor remove Kaspserky MP4 (it's still in the program list). Every try of (un)install crash with the error 1722. So far, i have tried to run the windows MSIcleaner, ran the 1722.reg before an install/uninstall, tried the uninstall via the Admin kit V8, tried to force the selfprotect to "no", tried to invalidate the NDIS with the /pNOKLIM5=1 parameter. I've tried the Kavremover10 also without success. I also noticed that my vista was in SP1... The sp2 failed mainly because a security tool is interfering with the setup... (having read the why the SP2 install could fail)...

I'm stuck with no AV on my computer, and still have it "installed" in the program list. I've joined the GSI and the error message.

Is there a "hard way" to kick the previous install of the MP4 so i can Start the installation again and have my computer protected again ? I just don't want to reinstall the whole vista just because i had trouble with MP4...

Thanks in advance for any help wink.gif

I had an issue where Admin Kit installed the Server AND the Enterprise Server client on one of my machines. When I tried to uninstall either of them I would get a FATAL error and was stuck with both. I tried the following tool from this KB article and I was able to remove one then just uninstall the other through the Add\Remove Programs. Maybe it will help with your buggered install.

I could not remove either through the Windows GUI, I actually had to run it through the command line but you might better success with the GUI.

NOTE: If you use this tool just remember, I'm not responsible if it makes a mess of your system, just a suggestion that worked for my issue.

Well i had no success with the GUI, i'll try with the command line... Btw it cannot be more messy than today... at least it'd just give me a good reason to reinstall Vista sad.gif
