Hi...

i have a very DEADLY VIRUS that changes my XP interface into windows 2000 and then goes back to XP
but when it returns to XP mail and internet and network wnt work.


i bought bitdefender and kaspersky thinking kasper will sort the prob out but i cant seem to win sad.gif Ive spent alot of bucks as it is and dnt seem to get a solution.

can someone shed some light on my problem.

ps : i have 9 x network attacks but sys kaspersky cannot block the attacking pc cos of some blockes ip or something like that.

the effects you are seeing are because of svchost.exe crashing (aka Host Process for Windows Services/Generic Host Process), it can have various reasons for doing that, not neccesarily a virus, but could be one as well.

and a gsi log:
1. Click here to download the GetSystemInfo tool
2. Unzip, run getsysteminfo.exe. Choose where you wish to save the text file, the desktop is the easy choice.
3. Click here to upload your GetSystemInfo log. (Note: It’s not a requirement to register)
4. Now add the link to the log you have just made in your post.

update windows to sp3, install and all security updates available on windows update

and send this file to the lab: C:\Documents and Settings\kazama7\Local Settings\Temp\firewall.exe
