Hey all,
I am studying Kaspersky which could be our new product for antivirus.
However, there is a feature I can't find information about: bandwidth detection and policy.
I have some sites with PC which do not have a lot of bandwith.
Is there a possibility to configure the Kaspsersky client so that when the available bandwidth is too low, antivirus updates are not performed ?
Any info would help
Thanks

I think is more easy if you set task for download updates in "non" rush hours.
Hi,
Alternatively, assign one of the machine in the site as update agent. This way, only the update agent will update through the slow link, and the rest of the machines will update from this agent...

My concern is that I have a wide range of remote users using their professional laptops outisde of the company network and connect to the Office through VPN.
The connection may be at low bandwith depending the country/hotel they connect from.
So, there is no way to dynamically detect the available bandwith ?
hi, for can create a separate policy for such users. and configure the policy to have them use kaspersky update server as the first update source, and your adminkit as the second update source.
this way, your user's notebook will always try to update from kaspersky update servers first, thus saving the bandwidth between the user and your office.
of course this does not help if the internet acccess of the users is slow to start with....
Hello,
You can set traffic limitations on your Kaspersky Administration Server to deal with low bandwith.
In the Administration Console, right click on your "Administration Server" and select "Properties"
In the new window, click on the "Traffic" tab.
