Administration Kit 8.0.2048, KAV4wks 6.0.4.1212.

Repositories -> Installation packages -> Kaspersky AntiVirus for Windows Workstation MP4 -> properties -> Update databases [1]
This function is not working at all.

I have a current date: Packages database updated: 2009-10-29 13:33, but after installation workstation has databases with date 2009-09-22 [2]

Could you fix this?
The only one "new" databases on workstation are "Network attacks" dated 2009-10-29 11:26.

Hello Jacek,
we don't include all updates into the package. We update only the components which can require a reboot after updating. This is made to reduce the size of package.
Jacek
What a pity.
But my proposition is to rename it to: "Update program modules". It is not a database updating.

It is not true. Application (after install) will also need to download database updates from internal administration kit server. So why it shouldn't be done during installation?

PS: I know that databases will be doubled - once in kavwks.en\wks6mp4.cab\, twice in Bases directory. But in LAN who cares? Or maybe an option?

Hello Jacek,

The solution has been posted here.
Hopefully developers have left the possibility to include all updates into the package.
Jacek
Excellent! Thanks Tybilly.

The scenario is that WKS updates all that requires reboot while installing and updates everything else from update agents. This reduces traffic between clients and AK server.
BTW, the solution through the link is not officially supported.
