Full Version: Network Agent - Allow 2 IP addresses

It would be nice if the Network Agent could be configured with 2 IP addresses for finding the Administration Server. I have a lot of laptop users who alternate between working inside the office and outside the office. I generally configure them with our ouside IP address, as I generally have more concerns about being able to track the KAV status when they are outside the corporate firewall. But then, when they work in-house for extended periods, I start getting notices about signatures not being up-to-date and eventually, "computer not seen for extended period". If I could configure a "failover" IP to the inside address of the Admin server, it would be much cleaner.

Of course, if there's already a way to do this and I'm just missing it, please enlighten! Ditto if there is an easy way to change the IP without doing an uninstall/reinstall of the Network Agent.

Thanks,

Jim

Hello,

You can control your hosts even if they are outside of the corporate network. To do that, your Administration Server should be reached through a public IP Address or a DNS name.
To change the IP Address the network agent connects to you can run the following commande: klmover.exe -address xxx (where xxx is the new IP Address, Netbios name or DNS name of the server).
