Today im trying to play my new PC game, dragon rising, it is a really cool combat simulator where u can spend hours trying to complete the various missions... which i was doing,.. untill my pc froze up completley, again... after being locked _in game_ frozen for 15 mins i managed to alt tab back to windows only to find.. oh how nice.. kaspersky is doing a rootkit scan totally of its own will and accord? i dont want it to scan and consume all my resources whilst im in a full screen application, i added this game to exceptions too but... its just relentless. ... if its not kaspersky deciing hey why not scan my entire pc right when hes using it, its windows update kicking in just at a crucial moment of my game lol.... please fix this is REALLY sucks bad,.

quick fix for this, go to settings, enable game mode and tick everything. then click apply and close the settings window.

If you are using Kaspersky v2010 you have a new feature added called Gaming Profile, enable this feature under Settings
just go Settings>Gaming Profile and on the right check Enable Gaming Profile and under it check all the options.
