Hi,
We are running Kaspersky Admin Kit 6.0.1710 with about 150 client computers. I notice that we are starting to get a lot of warnings about virus definitions being out of date, all of which start being emailed out at around 11:15PM Australian time (GMT +10) and finish around 1:30AM. These are alerts about servers and workstations across all of the groups that we administer.

The thing is that if I check these computers, the definitions are usually no more then 1 - 3 days behind the current date and so there really isn't a problem.

For various reasons we can only update computers once a day.. but this occurs between 1:30AM and 2:00AM.

What I want to find out is why we are getting notified for definitions that are only a few days old and how can I control what time the out of date virus definition alert email is sent out?

Thanks very much!!

Turns out this was happening because the update server would sometimes miss its once a day update window and have day old definitions.. client machines would then complain because the definitions they were getting from the admin server did not update.

My solution was to have the Admin Kit server checking for definitions every 3 hours, but have the client machines check only once a day.

Ever since I did this, the false warnings have ceased.
