Hi Everyone

we are planning to upgrade our Kaspersky Business Space Security Adminkit 6 to Adminkit 8 smile.gif. but the problem is that AK8 does not support windows 98 clients and we still have some windows 98 clients sad.gif. we must keep win98 running due to some legacy applications (i know using a decade old O/S is funny bv.gif ). Now i want to install AK8 in parallel with AD6 so i can support my new Windows2008 and Windows 7 CLIENTS. My concerns are.

1- Can i use my AK6 license on AK8 also? will there any conflict because both AdminKits will be on same network.
2 - After AK8 can i migrate my Windows Xp & 2003 clients from AK6 to AK8?

If there is any other better possibility, plz tell i will appreciate.

Thanks

You could use the AK6 as a slave server beneath the AK8.

The AK6 could manage your Windows 98 Clients and the AK8 could manage the other ones... There shouldn't be any problems.

Hi,
we`ve got also old win NT workstation running KAV 6.0.3.837 MP3 and Netagent .1710
Currently, i'm testing it in VM. I've upgraded AK 6 to AK8 and AK8 can manage WIN NT or 9x running KAV MP3 with the .1710 netagent
and there are no problems.
Regards
