How do I get my workstation and server clients to inherit the policies and group tasks that I have created within their specific groups (a workstation group and a servers group)? When I create policies and tasks within these groups, the policies and tasks do not seem to propagate down to the client machines. Instead, it appears that the clients are inheriting the policy and task settings directly from the client object specified within the Kaspersky Administration Kit; meaning that when I right-click on a computer object, select properties, and then select the Tasks tab, these are the policies and tasks which are defined on my clients, not the other policies and tasks I have created for the group.

Make sense???

I need t make it so that ALL activity on each client is administered from the Administration Kit, NOT from the client console app.
I hope this makes sense, as I really wasn't sure how to word it.

Thank you in advance.

Hello,

What version of Administration Kit / KAV are you using ?

My first advices would be:
- Check connectivity between all hosts (network agents) and your administration by synchronizing them manually
- Do not forget to put locks in your policies to ensure that your settings will be applied.

I just upgraded to Admin Kit 8.0 with Workstation and Server MP4 and Network Agent 8.0. I can sync manually, no problem. All hosts are visible in the Admin Kit. All policies have been locked and re-locked. Several times.

Everything seems to be functioning well, except fot the fact that my group policies and group tasks aren't propagating down to the clients (though my group task for updating the definitions database, which is set up in group tasks at the top of the directory tree, is workng fine).
