I have a Samsung jack (SGH-I637) windows mobile 6.1 Smartphone from AT&T. I just installed kapersky Smartphone protection version 8.0.0.75 (from http://www.kaspersky.com/mobile_downloads?...nlink=206910930 which downloads a file named kmsecurity_8.0.0.75_en.cab) and once kapersky is installed on my phone, I am no longer able to receive any text messages whatsoever.
I tried disabling the antispam component entirely thinking that perhaps kapersky is having a problem reconciling my contacts with the text messages they send to me(the default antispam setting is to accept text messages from whitelist/blacklist/contacts), but even disabling the antispam component does not work.
Thinking that perhaps text message problem might somehow be connected with the firewall component, I even tried turning the firewall off, and still no luck. So even with both the firewall and antispam components turned off at the same time, I still can’t receive any text messages.
I even tried performing a hard/factory reset on my phone to see if that would fix the problem, then reloaded kapersky, and then turning antispam and firewall off simultaneously to see if that would resolve the problem, but it did not.
Once kapersky is installed, I can no longer receive text messages from anyone. Interestingly enough, I am able to send text messages and everyone I send messages to receives them, but I can’t receive any messages. People send them, but they never show up on my phone.
However, as soon as I uninstall kapersky Smartphone security, and the same people try and resend the text messages, I get them. But I don’t get any texts when kapersky is installed.
Anyone know what’s going on? The product is useless with this kind of glitch.
