Fixed via "Kludge" but what is proper solution?

First running KAV MP4 Release 1212 Workstation only (that is - no administration server), all updates worked OK under RC1 through RC3

Today had update errors -- report said update completed properly but, pop-up that databases were out of date. This has continued for hours. Determined that no matter what region I might set for an update (and automatic) as well went to the same following location for updates:

http://dnl-test.kaspersky-labs.com/test/tim1

Finally forced via an "add" to locations the following server -- http://dnl-us3.kaspersky-labs.com. Then the update proceeded as before, but the databases were OK with no problem. Are the parameters for update server via an automatic or manual (country) selection correct -- and are there now a different set of update servers than previously existed. If not -- how do I correct the update server list to select the proper locations.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hi,
this morning i got the same problem on my AK 8.....global updates task was retrieving updates from "test" server and my workstations reported "nothing to update" but ther databases were obsolete....i've then forced that global task to get updates from ftp.kaspersky.com and everything started to work fine once again both on server and client side.

Problem seemed to go away this morning. "Unchecked" the specific server I had added to the Update Sources list and "Automatic" selection source for update went to "normal" server (versus the test server) without a problem. Maybe just a momentary glitch -- but interesting to see I was not the only one experiencing this "condition"!

You need to change update source.
This error received because you migrate from test version to release.

Nice to hear this from you but i firstly uninstalled my RC3 build then i installed the latest one.....so, if this happened, probably the uninstaller did not work as expected...smile.gif
