Hi Everyone!

I’m getting ready to deploy Kaspersky Antivirus for Windows Server 6.0 to two SQL servers (SQL 2000), a RIGHTFAX server, and an Exchange Server 2003.

I was wondering if anyone has the “general” file and folder exemptions for any or all of these server installations?

Also, a quick question about exemptions in general; do you have to specify the full path for application exemptions or trusted applications?

If so, does that apply to both the workstations and server antivirus (all 6.0)?

Thank you very much and any information will be greatly appreciated!

Hi and thanks for the reply & links.

I have reviewed the ones that I need, but would also like to know if anyone has any other “recommended” exemptions for these applications based on experience too.

As to the….

Nothing in the help file really explains this to me. Neither of the “TRUSTED ZONE” areas (exclusion mask or trusted applications) help file specify whether or not you must specify the “complete” path or “variable” path in either. I’d say that the “Exclusion Mask” is pretty well a given (either full path or variable\path method). However, once again, the help file does not specifically state this.

I realize that it is probably BEST PRACTICE to specify the complete path. However, I would really like to know if it is required or not.

Thank you very much!

In the exclusion rules, you're able to specify paths, filemasks or paths with filemasks. In trusted applications, the path is mandatory.
