I'm running the task with Enterprise and Domain admin rights. I have the task set to force conflicting apps to close. No firewalls are disabled. No errors in the admin kit interface.
Am I missing something? Does it take this long?
Full Version: Admin Kit 8 - deinstallation task hangs.
I have an uninstallation task to remove McAfee Virus Scan Ent. 8.5 from a workstation. The progress bar of the task is about 99% full, yet it seems to be hung at "Running uninstall scripts". I started the task an hour and 10 minutes ago.

Are you using the automatic removal feature of KAV 6 WKS R2 to remove McAfee or is it a real distinct task that you've created in the Administration Console ?
Because I noticed the first method fails to remove McAfee 8.5 but others succeeded.

By default, it's waiting for a reply from user to reboot the machine. Change the package or the "Task for Selected Computers" to reboot the machine after install.

The user never got a prompt to reboot.
