If you're running kernel in 64 bit mode, please switch it back to 32 bit mode - everything should be fine than.

I am also having trouble getting it to work on Snow Leopard. I have two systems (Mac Pro and MacBook Pro) both running SL. I have installed Kaspersky, activated, updated, setup preferences, etc. Yet "Protection is not installed".

Any ideas?

let me tell you, i used to had the same problem, since the begining, let me tell what i have done.
1.- uninstall the program and restar the mac
2.- install the KAS antivirus again
3.- restart again
4.- run the updates
5.- configure the preferneces
6.- restart
7.- scan the mac

Idont know why but this works for me, something i forgot to tell you is that i restalled all my Mac Os since 0%
