A secure file shredder and a page to configure the startup programs (items loaded from the LOCALMACHINE and USER registry entries for RUN and RUNONCE, user start menu startup entries) and services automatically loaded during the system boot process would be great.

hello
there's msconfig which does exactly that, why do you need to reinvent the wheel.

because not everyone knows about msconfig or how to use it properly. a page in the kaspersky program with definitions of what each startup entry is and does would enable users to make an informed choice as to what to disable during startups without crippling their PCs.

And when did msconfig start offering secure file shredding? lol would be nice if MS built it in though wink.gif

Another suggestion for a new/improved feature:

When the KIS programs download an update which requires a reboot it would be good to know firstly what has changed and second why you have to reboot. for example when an update for Steam is released they have a popup window listing the changes. I know you can't give out specifics of security feature modifications but something along the lines of the following would be handy via a details button on the taskbar notification if not a full popup window:

- Updates to the GUI
- core program files
- realtime scanner
- web scanner
- firewall
- the NDIS 6 component which installs on all adapters (could be listed as a security driver update for simplicity)
and so on
