Full Version: Include Only The Essentials/Use Less RAM
Kaspersky Lab Forum > English User Forum > Suggestions for current and future versions of KL products

Hi this is my serious suggestions for the next versions.
1.) Include only the essentials (Firewall, Network Attack Blocker, Anti-malware)
2.) Don't make it so bloated.
Why add link checker if the program checks all links in real-time?
Why include Safe Run if the software can do its thing to sniff out malware.
3.) Make it use less resources! The lesser the merrier!

1. You can already deselect undesired components in the install procedure.
2. Safe run isn't unnecessary, Sandboxing is a very nice feature. Link checker isn't really necessary but it's used as a pre-warning for malicious sites and gives some nice statistics about that site (powered by Kaspersky Security Network)
3. No, they'll deliberately make it use more... rolleyes.gif Of course they always try to make the program use less resources on a wide range of systems/machines... that's a useless suggestion.

Not sure about the link checker, I find it prety useless, as Kaspersky checks it when you click it.

SafeRun is a good feature - it's there to run applications in incase there is malware/exploits Kaspersky didn't detect. As we all know, no AV detects 100% of malware, so SafeRun is there to stop any undetected malware infiltrating your computer.
