Problem:
When I try to play a video from http://eschoolnews.tv/ I get the following error message:
"Server not found:
rtmp://fms010.dc1.hwcdn.net/b8f2r3q8/_definst_"

If I disable kav (Pause Protection), I can play a video without a problem.

Running the following:
Windows Vista Business SP1
klnagent v6.0.1710.0
kav v6.0.3.837 hotfix c.d.e.f.g.h

Steps I've tried without success:
Switched from buffering scan to streaming scan
Added *.eschoolnews.*/* to Trusted URLs
Disabled "Block dangerous scripts in Microsoft Internet Explorer"
Disabled "Scan HTTP traffic"

I called tech support and I was told to look at the logs and try whitelisting whatever gets detected.
I checked the logs but there are no threats detected in any of the components.
The only thing suspicious that I saw in the File AV events log are packed files found in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
See attached report files.

Here's another site that our teachers and students can not play videos from:
https://auth.isafe.org/webcast/index.php

Is there anyone else out there having this problem at their schools/organization?

Please switch in the settings of Web-Anti-Virus to Quickscan.

Does the problem persists?
glabrador
By Quickscan do you mean streaming scan?
I have switched from buffering scan to streaming scan but the problem persists.

Any other ideas I can try?

Hello,

Upgrade to the latest version 6.0.4.1212 of KAV For Windows Workstations: http://www.kaspersky.com/productupdates?chapter=146274385
Web Antivirus has been improved and it should help with your issue.

With all the complaints being posted against the latest version, I think I'll wait until most of the kinks are ironed out.

Have you tried disabling the anti-banner (under anti-spy) component? I had issues with flash with their home product (kis2010) and that did the trick.

Flash has been a bit finicky lately also, make sure you've upgraded your flashplayer for the brower you use also.

Of course there are many complaints because you are on a technical support forum, only people who met issues posts messages here...
I know this kind of issue which is probably caused by the script checker component. This component has been removed and in the new version and web trafic is scanned in a different way so you may give it a try.
