This is a message for those of you who use an Imate JasJar Pocket PC that runs Windows Mobile 5.0.
I recently upgraded to KMS 8 from KMS 7 on my Imate JasJar Pocket PC, only to find that the the firewall on KMS 8 blocks access to the internet...regardless of the firewall settings. All the other features work fine.
I have now discovered (eventually through technical support) that the issue is known with my phone phone, has been fixed in the MP2 and is due out in December-but in the meantime I must downgrade to KMS 7 (which I cannot find to download, becuse the only visible version for download is KMS 8).
I am disappointed that the product has been released without it being tested on the imate jasjar, and would have preferred it if the link to download KMS 8 did not include Imate JasJar. I am also aware that I should have tried the trial version before purchasing!
That said, Kaspersky products are very effective and, I am working with someone from technical support to resolve my issue.
So my message is: beware of making assumptions about a product that has functioned perfectly in the past, will do so in the future...despite what it says on the tin. Loyal users especially should not forget to analyse new improvements to avoid frustration, loss of time & money and disappointment.
