It may take up to 5-10 seconds for this notice to appear, and sometimes its can cause browser freezing.
I don`t know why are you advising to uograde my browser. But this windows makes me crazy - it`s kinda annoying.
My Opera 9.10 works fine with this site.

Can you please consider another way of advising to upgrade browser - for example a link
"We recommend to use a newer version of your browser to improve the fluidity and display of this page" and put it above the "Bug found ? / Want to improve - Ideas ?"link

I think the notice is justified. The parser stresses the browser's rendering and JavaScript engine, so it makes sense to recommend using an recent version of the browser. Opera 9.10 is heavily outdated, several improvements in this area have been made since then. Usually keeping the browser up to date is also recommendable from a security standpoint.

In case you use the parser regularly and want to continue using an older browser version you might consider registering an account. According to the changelog the notice should only appear for not logged in users. However, I haven't checked whether the behaviour changed in the meantime.

Well, i think it leaves me 1 option - to register an account. I do understand that Opera 9.10 is outdated but for some reasons i still going to use it.
Thank you

Well, the last word has Kamille of course as he is the author of GSI and the parser. Maybe he can find a less intrusive way for showing that notice.
I just wanted to say that I find such a notice justified in general.

I just wonder - what is the reason for this notice? You stimulate the users to update their browsers. If the main reason is security then wy don`t you write so, something like "You browser is insecure, we recommend you download a newer version". But whatever the reason is - I agree, that the notice must be shown in less intrusive manner.

Hi,

Like JanRey said, the point of this message was the JavaScript engine.

If my memory is good, I tested with Opera: with small reports it works quite fine but with bigger reports problem can happens (JavaScript can be slower...).

Also, for me, this message is saying that those browsers are "certified" to work fine with the parser.
If you're using another one or an older version, weird things can happen but this is up to you to decide.
I'm not forcing wink.gif

Personally here I'm using Chrome and Firefox (for debugging JavaScript with "Firebug" addon)
