Hi,

The current latest version of Kaspersky does not allow anti-spam training with Microsoft LIVE mail, the new HTTP based email downloader.

The only listing provided from the wizard is Windows mail which does not support HTTP based email.

Is anything possible here to upgrade to be able to support this mail service type for anti-spam?

Thanks
Whizard
There is no way to support web-based email, only POP and IMAP protocols are supported.

but it's not http, it have IMAP and pop3 support. For example, I using gmail\hotmail - in loads messages via IMAP.
And KIS2010, even CF2 can't detect spam there

hotmail is http only.
also what email client are you using on your PC, so the actual program with an exe.
kaspersky scans mails at traffic level so regardless of which application requested the download of the mail through pop/imap, that mail gets processed

Only (for the moment) If you have outlook 2007 with or with out live messenger latest version and add the following is call Microsoft outlook connector I found it in download live messenger but it also possible in Microsoft web page. It allow Hotmail and other http base mail to be seen as the something than Microsoft Live mail the difference is can be scan by Kaspersky anti spam tool.

They recently turned off the HTTP download method, you have to use something else (POP3 I think).
Lucian Bara
yes, so i heard. if so there's no problem with it.

it shouldn't be needed, but it doesn't do anything, so it's not like it slows down your pc.
