You can change the default path for Kaspersky directories from C:\ to a drive you want by modifying the registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP6\environment\DataRoot

Hi.

Whats the size of the files and where are they stored? Is it possible to pack one/some file(s) and attach/PM it?
I think they're stored in %temp%, aren't they?

That are stored in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Kaspersky Lab

and taking GB's of disk space.

Looks like the program crashed a few times and placed the .dmp files for analyses on the HD...

Yeah, that should be correct and the issue smile.gif

As mentioned by Helmut you can move DataRoot to any other loval drive changing the registry key. I suggest you to use a kleaning (KLeaner) tool, wipe kav, reboot, reinstall and see what happens !

Additional note: Be sure to have all latest and necessary MS patches installed.

If you wish, you can disable the "previous start has been failed" error message:
• deactivate self-defense
• change value of "MinShowDumpVer" to 0xffffffff (hex)
32bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\AVP6\settings
64bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\KasperskyLab\AVP6\settings

What is the KLEARNER TOOL and from where i can download ?
Helmut
Dawinci means a Cleaning tool for uninstalling this version, reboot and install the current version again.
dawinci
Try kavremover with parameter kav6wks: kavremover10.exe kav6wks
