Hi everyone! bt.gif

In corporations and enterprises, the Netbooks are becoming the favorite tools for users. Obviously, Kaspersky Internet Security for Ultra-Portables is the best solution, but if the customers wants to manage AV solution from Administration Kit: what can i tell them about it?

And: ¿Kaspersky Antivirus for Windows Workstations will have Netbooks version? bc.gif

I ask that because our customers will buy Netbooks and are frequently asking for integration with Administration Kit in next releases.

¿Will be possible?

Thanks in advance for your answers and have a nice day! ay.gif

Hi victorm,

unfortunately there are currently no plans to release a wks netbook edition. Adminkit 8 will be released in September/October with WKS MP4.

KIS for Ultra-Portables is almost the same product as KIS, except that some windows have been resized then they can be displayed correctly on a netbook screen.
It's just a matter of screen resolution, that's why there will be no major constraints of installing KAV WKS on a netbook

Hi everyone, thanks again by your answers! hi.gif

Well, as technician i understand your thoughts and i agree that, but in my case i have a customer that said me:

* I have 7400 PC's, 90% Desktops & 10% Servers, i'm very interested in KAV but you (me) must know about new organization policies about TI: We'll buy 200 Netbooks and 150 Smartphones and we want to know if KAV supports that tools and integration of related products with Kaspersky Administration Kit.

I said customer about Kaspersky Mobile Security Enterprise Edition, but i promised to customer ask for information about KAV for WKS & Netbooks compatibility. Based in your answers i'd think in suggest to customer don't buy Netbooks. Simple! But being honest: what is the best answer to customer in this case (about netbooks)?

Thanks by your comments! ay.gif

Well i absolutely understand your point of view, too smile.gif

A product compatibility to netbook is given, there should be no problem.

As already written by Tybilly Ultra-Portables are same as the the main product. Only difference is the usability (and thats only the screen resolution wink.gif at netbooks ) "between" the products. I have running a netbook with UltraPortable2009. Don't ask me why smile.gif I cannot remember in my tests a few months ago if WKS was ready for 10" netbook resolution (1024*600) but anyway, i'll test it for you and post some "window examples" here and you can show the customer the "windowed size" at a 10" netbook resolution.

You have written that the products must be able to be centralized managed by adminkit. So far so good. Counterquestion: Must the users able to "see"/manage an already managed KAV-WKS? smile.gif

All (mobile) policys can also be set via adminkit, not neccessary to open the GUI to start an update, for example.

Hi Dawinci!

Your point is very interesting, so i'll study your point of view to make the counterquestions.

Thank you so much again!
