Hi Folks, just checking this was a genuine Kaspersky update. I returned from lunch to find my firewall informing me that AVP.EXE had changed and do I want to "accept replacement of this application?"
This has never happened before without a reboot being required.
"Update: completed 21/07/2009 11:07:17, updates size: 3 MB (events: 121)"
Does this appear genuine? Anything else you need to know to verify?

It's Anti-Virus 2009 and the version number currently showing after the update is 8.0.0.454 (a.b.c.d.e)

Yes, the AVP.EXE was really updated today.
In KIS 2009 version 8.0.0.454 the updated executable has these details:
