Hi,

I installed Beta 8.0.0.255 yesterday and it is giving me errors during a virus scan. The scan stops on a random file and doesn't progress any further. It is saying that "Some components cannot be enabled, Computer protection is not functioning" in the main Kaspersky window. The Kaspersky icon on the launch bar is grey, and I am getting this error in my logs multiple times a second:

7/17/09 6:45:25 AM [0x0-0x9009].com.kaspersky.kav[193] ERROR [193/b0620000] bool PragueRPC::ConnectionManager::isConnectionAlive(PragueRPC::ConnectionID) - the connection 44 is not found

Any help would be appreciated.

FYI... Kaspersky loads fine on startup and has no problems until I run a virus scan.

Well, try just to restart the product. That usually helps. :-)

When I restart KAV it fixes it until I run the scan again. KAV will often take 50% - 100% of CPU time and I will have to kill the KAV process by hand at the command prompt.

If you attach one of the most recent /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/kav*.crash files, it would help use to diagnose the issue properly.
Also /Library/Logs/Kaspersky\ Lab/kav_daemon.log file would be helpful.
