I am having a problem creating a custom scan setting. All the options are greyed out.

FWIW, I am currently trialing the product.

Thanks.

Are you using the Administration Kit? If yes, the policies of the Administration Kit possibly denies changing the local settings.

I am attempting to configure a new scan policy using the Admin Kit. Why would this be denied from a central console?

Policies are intended to prevent the settings to be changed by users locally, so the options are greyed out.

I misspoke when I said I was trying to configure a policy. I am attempting to setup a new scan task that only scans recently modified files, but it's greyed out.

If there's a policy with options for "virusscan" configured, even the settings of a scan task are "overwritten". Please check if there's a policy on the same or higher level and check the corresponding settings or disable the policies for testing.

I disabled the policy and was able to create a custom scan.

Thanks.
