Full Version: Some clients only have network agent, not antivirus

I've just looked at all the PCs in my AV group (currently 35) and the colour of the icons - thankfully most are solid green, however, some are red or light red.

I looked at two of the red ones and it told me the AV application was not installed, only the network agent. This clearly looks a bit dodgy...

In group tasks there's an Automatic Installation - Kaspersky Workstation AV - looking at the results section of this and for the PC concerned (one of them that is), I see the following:

QUOTE
The host unsuccessfully tried to start remote installation 3 times. The task will not be started on this host again because the maximum number of retries for this task has been exceeded.

I've just tried to run this task again, I can see it's skipping the PCs which already have it installed, then it gets to one of the ones that doesnt...

Copying files to the destination host... (\\PLP012\admin$)
Arranging installation service...
Installation service started on host, now waiting for results...
Remote installation failed on the host: Fatal error during installation.

On one of the others it appears to be stuck on the copying files stage.

How can I get these PCs protected properly?
Helmut
Please start setup.exe /verbose"c:IS.log" locally.from the share.

I've just looked at the client and I think the person who migrated this PC didn't undertake the step 'remove Trend Micro or Kaspersky stadalone installs' - I'm removing this now and will try once it's removed. I suspect that could be part of the problem.

If not I'll have a go at what you have posted Helmut
