I've been working on a problem with one of my clients upgrading to Peachtree 2010 Premium - Accounting Edition. I have done previous installs with KAV (specifically, KAVWKS 6.0.387, without NDIS filter) for 2009 with no problem, so I dismissed the issues early on as a result.
Symptoms are basically that when it begins to launch the actual installation and you agree to the terms, it crashes with this output:
Faulting application idriver.exe, version 10.50.0.125, faulting module msvcr90.dll, version 9.0.21022.8, fault address 0x0006c955.
I reinstalled InstallShield, tried as other accounts, reinstalled VisualC Runtime 9.0 redistributable, nothing. After a while I had to be sure so I removed KAV and rebooted. Install now completes without issue. I have reproduced this on 3 machines.
I am unsure if this will require a module update or just a definition update to address, but a number of companies that I do support for will be calling to get this done - having to remove KAV and reinstall just to do it is kind of a pain.
Just wanted to bring it to your attention and if you need any information to diagnose further please let me know. This is running Windows XP SP3, all latest patches.
